Trapeze High Escondido
In the backyard of board members Dave Ayers and Lindsay Van Vooris, is Trapeze High Escondido, or the "The Blue Rig". This outdoor location is a fun place to experience trapeze. Trapeze High also has a flight club for returning students, where more advanced students prefer to go for personalized instruction from head trainer Dave Ayers. With a history of training people up and sending them to the circus, his direct approach is appreciated by all of his devoted students. You know that he's invested in you, once you've been told that your trick was 'lame'. We even have a shirt with "Daveisms", so come fly with Master Trainer Dave, and see if you can collect some of these yourself. Dave's attention to detail, love of trapeze and optimism is infectious and inspiring. Don't be fooled by the lashing, it's truly out of love... For when you're told that your trick was 'perfect in every way', you know he means it.

Location Address:
It's tricky to find the first time, as mapquest, is incorrect. It is the same driveway as the Deerpark Monastary. Escondido means hidden in Spanish…
* Note - Mapquest and Yahoo Map sends you to a location about a block away.
Here are the true and detailed directions.
If you get lost call Dave’s cell # 619-318-0833
FROM SAN DIEGO
Take the 15 North to Escondido.
Exit El Norte Parkway. It’s one exit past the 78.
Go right (East) onto El Norte Parkway.
Turn LEFT (NORTH) onto Center City Parkway.
Turn Right on Country Club Drive. It’s the second signal.
Turn LEFT (NORTH) onto Broadway.
Go past the light at Reidy Creek Elementary School and get into the right hand lane.
Turn RIGHT on North Ave (where you see two stop signs.)
Follow North Ave 0.6 mile as it curves to the right.
(You will see a yellow “end of county maintained road” sign. Yes, there are some bumps in the road after that, so slow down, don’t give up hope, you are almost there. Remember that hidden word…)
Turn LEFT on Cindy Jo Lane.
The driveway to the rig is directly ahead of you right at the end of Cindy Jo, where it intersects with Melru Lane. Look for the small green 2470 Melru sign and the white and black TRAPEZE sign. Pull in to the driveway on the right of the sign.
Go straight up the driveway until it turns to the right and park on the left hand side where the “Parking” sign is located. If all space is taken, park in a place that doesn’t block anyone.
Look for the trapeze sign on the chain link gate and follow the signs that point the way to the rig. The trapeze is in behind the grey house and the mobile home next to the hill.
